Be careful what you wish for!

Today was a Great Day. I went to church and sat by my daughter and son-in-law.
After church, I invited the boys to come home with me for the day. Steph and Jeff were free to do whatever....No kids........We got home and I made lunch and then we played with squirt guns and had a wet blast. Noah was excited when he was eating a popcicle, he discovered he had his first loose tooth. He couldn't wait to tell his mommy, so we quickly went to the computer to send her an email. When I took them home, he asked her if she got her email. It was so cute.
Steph & Jeff surprised me with a beautiful Coach Purse. I could not believe it when she handed me the Coach shopping bag and told me that they wanted to give me something special for always helping them out with the boys. I don't expect anything in return cause I dearly love to be with my grand-son's. I had said in a recent post that I wished for a summer Coach. So, my wish came true. And now, the big reveal..............This is the newest addition to my family....Isn't she lovely? Be Careful What You Wish For!

Love me some Key Lime Pie & Ocean View

I did not bake this work of Art. I just wanted to share one of my favorite things with you. I am remembering last year's birthday when I was in Florida with my sister at her work conference. Her co-worker, surprised me with 2 large slices of Key Lime Pie beautifully decorated on the plates. I will never forget how surprised I was. They overheard me saying that it was one of my favorite desserts and they went to the Chef in the place we were staying and brought me not only 1 slice, but 2 slices! They were huge slices at that! I did only eat 1 slice but took the other slice back to my room for a midnight snack.....sitting on the balcony looking out at the ocean......Oh, I would Love to be back there right now!

Wonderful Weekend

Another busy weekend we had. Saturday we went to an open house in honor of Amy's son Michael. Abby, my grand-daughter went with us. Her mommy was with her sister (Abby's aunt) in the hospital while she was having a baby and her daddy was working. Good news...she had a 9 lb. 6 oz. baby girl she named Lyla.
Abby fell in love with the black dog statue on Amy's porch. She kept wanting to go and pet it. We had such a good time at the open house. I think Abby must have eaten 3 cookies...she kept going back to the cookie tray. I did manage to give her a few bites of something good for her too.
Then on Sunday was another busy day. I helped set up a surprise baby shower for my daughter, Steph She was totally surprised. She was blessed with a ton of Girly clothes and a little bit of everything. This little girl will be dressed in a style all her own. I just adore all of our Bloggy friends and of course the non bloggy ones too that were there. I do have some action pictures from the shower that I will share when I can get to it. Crooked Eyebrow
took a zillion pictures if you want to check them out.

"Throwback Thursday"

This is a throwback from last month when my sister was in town. My grand-son, Noah, myself & Diane were planting flowers at our parents house that almost sold. My sister inherited her green thumb from our Grandmother, Villa. She Loves to play in the dirt and is proud to admit it. I, on the other hand wear garden gloves. I don't like dirt under my fingernails and you never know when you might come across a worm in that there dirt. These are Great Memories!

I am Loved and it feels good

I was sent this "I love you this much" award by Amy.
I feel so special to receive this award. Thank you Amy! Back at you girl!
I am going to pass this award on to Erin, a wonderful bloggy friend that I simply adore. She is a Teacher and a new Momma to a handsome dog-son named Luke. She is so loved by her students and everyone who meets her. You deserve this Erin.....

Rock your feet Pedicure

Saturday my daughter and I went for a "Rock your feet Pedicure". My kids gave me a gift card to a Spa for Mother's Day. My daughter, Steph also gave me these neat looking sandals. Steph and I sat in side by side chairs and were treated to a very relaxing leg and foot massage, salt rub, mask and warm rock massage. I ended up getting this cool Hot Pink polish and she got the french manicure. I really enjoyed being pampered, especially with my daughter beside me. Thanks Steph!
When I returned home, I babysat for my grand-daughter Abby. She loves shoes so much. I found her trying on my flip flops.
Her poor little big toe is black from being stepped on, which was an accident.

Wednesday Wonders

Are these not the most handsome little guys? I was trying to figure out something to blog about and while scrolling thru my pictures, these popped out at me. Noah and Carter are so precious and they are "Best Buds". It amazes me the closeness of these boys. They don't like to be separated for very long.
These were taken at the Beach last Friday night. These faces could not be any sweeter.

Summer night at the Beach

Last night we had the beach almost to ourselves....except for a guy flying a kite and a few other people.
After I got off work, I picked up my daughter and the boys to go to the beach. It started out as questionable, due to the winds and color of the sky. We all had our sand toys packed and beach towels. The look of excitement on 3 little boys faces helped us decide to try the beach and if it was too windy or cold, we could come back, but at least we can say we gave it a try.
Well, when we got there, it was like God erased all the dark spots in the sky and the sun was shining so brightly. It was actually very warm and the winds were not too bad....every now and then you would feel a little sting on the leg. Noah and I were standing by the edge of the water and I looked down and a shiny new quarter was lying in the sand and the sun was shining on it and it almost looked like a light coming out of the sand. I picked it up and gave it to Noah and told him that was our special shiny quarter........We all got our feet wet and played a while and even fed the seagulls some special K bites that I had in my bag.....Gray Loves birds, so that made him smile real big.
The boys were getting hungry, so we decided to pack up and go. We let Noah pick where we would go to eat and he chose Red Robin....our favorite place.....He loves the mac & cheese. We were sitting eating dinner at almost 9:00, but it is summertime.....and the living is easy.....no rules....A very fun night was had by all..............Oh, that shiny quarter I found and gave to Noah, is now in the candy machine at Red Robin......
What could get any better than this?

This is a favorite picture of my 4 little Blessings, soon to be 5........Carter, Gray, Abby & Noah. I feel like the luckiest Mimi in the world.....This picture was taken in my parent's backyard a few weeks ago. The boys are in Love with their cousin Abby. Gray is smitten by her. He loves to give kisses....and I do think that when she gets older, she will give the orders. These little Blessings complete me.

Cleaning house with the New Kids on the Block

Ok, so, I am this 51, almost 52 year old Mimi cleaning my house yesterday morning with a New Kids on the block VHS tape in the t.v. getting down with the pledge wipes and grapefruit Method cleaner........
My daughter, Steph, left the tape at home when she moved out years ago and I was actually looking for my Judds tape to listen to when I came across this tape. I use to love to watch and listen to it but never confessed to it til now.....So, now you know....Mimi likes the old version of the New Kids.....Joey's eyes make my heart melt.....
