Mike and I went to see Celtic Women at the Auditorium Theater in beautiful downtown Chicago. We rode the Southshore train instead of fighting the traffic. We only had 1 block to walk to get to the concert. It was a fabulous concert and our seats were great. Mike was excited when they announced a surprise group to start the show. An Irish male group called "The high kings" sang and were really entertaining. They are going on tour with the Celtic Women to open for them. This was our second time in 1 year seeing the Celtic Women. Would you believe I didn't ask anyone to take our picture? On the way home, we ended up standing most of the way on the train. It wasn't too bad cause we met a very nice couple that we chatted with while standing. We should have only been charged half price for not having a seat. We finally got to sit down as people were getting off. It was a very relaxing time for us and I think Mike enjoyed his Birthday present. If you ever have a chance to go hear these groups, it is well worth it....you will be entertained and leave feeling very good.

My sister and niece went to the same show in Chicago the night before you went. They loved it.
Sounds like a fun time.
With your new red hair you could get up and dance no one would know you didn't belong.
How fun. The weather was beautiful this weekend too. That always makes the trip to the city better.
I am so glad you had a good time!
Steph
I am so jealous!
I love the C.D that I have--Julia does too.
What a fun night.
I'm sure all that weight you have been dropping off helped standing just a tad easier. And I am sure you were feeling might spiffy too. ;)
I would say I am jealous about that too---but that is something I can do something about. :(
Getting motivated, getting motivated.
What fun! Glad you were able to enjoy it! They have a great sound, you have introduced me to something new!
I'm so glad you guys enjoyed your concert but it certainly does stink that you didn't get a seat on the train ride back.
You so refresh my heart!
I don't know that i have been called to "preach" but I have been called to go into all the world. ;)
Guess this is my little section of "all the world" for right now.:)
I did not know you could play--how cool. I wish I had stuck with the lessons Mom tried to give me when I was growing up. I love finding people who God has called to lead His people into His presence through music. I believe they truly have a special place in the heart of God. We spent the last 7 years in a church with no piano player or anyone who had a heart for worship leading.
The church we attend last Sunday was like balm to my soul. It was great to be able to sing and to not think about anything or anyone but Him.
Thank you for your prayers.
So glad that you both had a nice time!
How fun!! I adore that city of yours!
