A Day At Mimi's

The boys spent part of the day at Mimi and Grampa's on Saturday. We made a home-made sandbox for the large bucket of Florida sand I brought back from my vacation to Sandestin Beach last month. I spread out a blanket on the front porch, since the grass was wet from all our rain and let the boys have at it. Gray was facinated by the feel of the sand and he had a ball scooping and digging for the sea shells I hid in the sand. Noah had more fun helping make the sandbox. Carter got bored right away and decided to just ride in the big red car.

Good-bye Dean!

My neice Dayna, and her fiancee Rob are getting married in 3 weeks in "Jamaica"......
They are glued to the weather channel watching as Hurricane"Dean" threatens their wedding site. My prayers are with them today and the days to come that their plans will go on without a problem. They also live near the Gulf, so I am also praying for their safety as well as my sister and other family members in Louisiana and Texas. They all bounced back after hurricane "Rita". My sister is in the background of this picture looking like a guardian angel...Love her! My nephew, Chad is also peeking in the background too...

Abby at the Beach

This is my little grand-daughter Abigail, just turned 5 months old. At Lake Michigan....she didn't know what to think when her daddy let her toes touch the water...she is such a little cutie pie....

Her mommy, Elsa & daddy, my son, Nate, wanted her to see the beach for the first time. She was facinated by the sand. Aren't they a beautiful family? My son is looking forward to the next child, but Elsa wants to wait a while, of course....She's smart!

My Grandkids....Bring me Joy

These are my "4" Grandchildren in action...Carter, Abby, Noah and Grayson. My daughter has the three energetic boys and my son has the sweet girl....These 4 little miracles bring me more joy than I can explain. Gray recently learned to say "Mee Mee" and it is so cute......Every time he see's a blue mini-van, he says Mee Mee, and Steph, my daughter says, when she passes a building at the end of her street, he says Mee Mee....something at that spot reminds him of me..who knows what? Another thing that Gray does which melts my heart is, when he comes to church, he runs as fast as his little legs can go to get to me on the stage, where I sing back-up. He moves his little arm up and down while running like he is pumping so hard to get to me. I have always been close to the boys and hope I have that closeness with Abby as well. My son loves to share with me all the new things she is doing and changes, such as teeth and giggling. He even called me while I was on vacation last week to let me hear her first giggle. I could go on and on about my favorite subject. Can you tell that I am a very happy MiMi?

I'm Back from Vacation

I am back from a Glorious Vacation with my sister, Diane. We had the best time and didn't waste one minute. We were up by 5:30 drinking coffee on our balcony overlooking the ocean and taking in every second. I celebrated my 51st Birthday and 33rd wedding anniversary this past week. By the way, thank you to everyone who sent me Birthday wishes. I was amazed and overwhelmed to read them all. There is too much to tell about my trip, but I will be posting lots of pictures so you can see for yourself how much fun we had.
