Love me some Key Lime Pie & Ocean View

I did not bake this work of Art. I just wanted to share one of my favorite things with you. I am remembering last year's birthday when I was in Florida with my sister at her work conference. Her co-worker, surprised me with 2 large slices of Key Lime Pie beautifully decorated on the plates. I will never forget how surprised I was. They overheard me saying that it was one of my favorite desserts and they went to the Chef in the place we were staying and brought me not only 1 slice, but 2 slices! They were huge slices at that! I did only eat 1 slice but took the other slice back to my room for a midnight snack.....sitting on the balcony looking out at the ocean......Oh, I would Love to be back there right now!

Girl & ME too! That picture makes my mouth water! I can still see the view when I close my eyes and reflect! It was a wonderful Sister Vacation! Hope we can duplicate it the Summer of 2009! Same place . . . same time!
Love ya,
Diane

Ooh, I love key lime pie! My favorite is at my favorite restaurant (go figure) Bahama Breeze. The crust is graham cracker, with raw sugar and it is just sooo good. Tasting that is! I'm sure it is absolutely horrible for you.

That looks delicious. I was just looking at my cupboards yesterday thinking that I am in the mood to bake something this weekend.

I have those places that I go to in my mind too.
Mine usually involves the mountains...times when my heart was full and my mind and body were at peace. It is nice to be able to "go there" in our minds...it renews energy and hope.
Oh, and I LOVE key lime pie!

That sounds sooooo good! I am sure you miss your sister so much. I wish you could be with yours today.

Mine is boarding her plane right now, and will be here in FIVE hours. They called me earlier from the airport, and Maren, my niece said to me..."I go see Auntie, Jack-Jack and Luke" in her sweet southern accent. Then she proceeded to tell me that she was eating "banilla ice cream"!

I AM SO EXCITED!
