Buyer Beware, not so Toasty!

I was sucked into ordering this so called deal when I received the advertisement via email. They are NOT the same as the Slanket. (I got my parents the Slanket for Christmas and they are the real deal...very nice and worth the money.)
The add says, buy one get one free. Well, when they arrived today they are as thin as a papertowel and are so cheaply made with the stitching on the edges and they charged $15.90 shipping and handling. The packaged weighed about 1 lb. The color looks like baby food green peas. They were called Snuggies on the Add, but after you order them and get your confirmation number, the name changes to Toasties. I called the long distance number on the email, and did get a customer service 12 year old who answered the phone. I complained about the poor quality and the mis-information about buy one get one free told him it was a scam and I wanted a full refund. He said I can send them back but will not be refunded the $15.90. I asked to speak to a manager and he said they would tell me the same thing as he did. So, I learned my lesson. But, it did come with 2 cheap plastic book lights!

Even if the customer service person said the manager would tell you the same thing, keep insisting on speaking to a manager. When you get a manager suggest he/she check out your blog if you don't get results from the manager. There are also internet sites where unhappy customers tell their stories about bad service, bad products, etc. You could also mention that advertising Snuggies and sending Toasties is considered "bait and switch" and is illegal.

I agree, keep fighting for your money back! I'll stick with my comfy, fleece bathrobe. Wearing it now.

Now every time I see that silly commercial I am going to think of you....

Gosh, everyone looks all "snuggie" on the commercial.... They are smiling and everything....

I wonder if they know how much that product stinks?

Definitely, stick to your guns and keep fighting them. Once you get to talk to a manager, tell him you are going to report them to the Better Business Bureau.

Oh, I have seen the ads for that on TV. The blanket with arm holes! That stinks! You should be refunded in full!

Wow,
This is stinky! I am sorry that you got scammed. Life really stinks when things like this happen! However, we won't need these snuggie things one day when we are in Heaven! :) YEAH For that!

Since I did live chat customer service for As Seen on TV products last year, I don't think I will ever order another As Seen on TV product. I'm sorry this happened to you :( (((HUGS)))
