Happy Labor Day! I do work hard for the money but I'm not as buff as she looks. I do appreciate what today stands for. I was invited to a big Labor Day party at a friends house, but not sure If I will go. Hubby wants to just relax and enjoy the quiet of the day. For once, we don't have plans. Have you ever had a dozen ideas in your head and can't decide on one of them? That's how my head feels. I want to be with family and friends today, but my body and mind are tired and need that quiet time. Working a full time job outside the home at my age is starting to wear on me. My weekends are spent, as everyone else's is, on trying to play catch up on housework and duties that you are too tired to do during the week. And now, with being a grand-parent, I would rather spend the time with the little geese waddling around at my feet. So, we will see how this day will unfold, as it is still early. I hope everyone enjoys the day and hope you have it off.
I'm playing catch up today. We haven't had any showings in a couple weeks, so we've let the house get kind of messy. I'm always thinking that we MIGHT get a call though. It's a lot of pressure to keep the house clean! Have fun doing whatever you do today. Maybe you could do a little of both. Visiting and relaxing.
I'm always playing catch up, but sometmes I just go with the fun. The housework is always there when I get back. That damn cleaning fairy never shows up. The rest relaxation are great too. Hope you enjoyed whatever you did.
I'm with Nancy... I hope you enjoyed exactly what you did! I still remember going back to teaching each of those 30 years, the day after Labor Day... and as much as I did love my teaching profession, I also love being retired. As my mom always says, I'm busier now than I ever was, but I'm busier with things I choose... like my grandchildren, my children AND my mom!! I'm looking forward to hearing what you DID choose to do today!!
