I went to buy me a new pair of Comfy, walking shoes. I had NO clue what brand or style I would end up getting. I was hoping to find a pair at a good bargain price. I have to admit I was overwhelmed at the zillion styles and brands. Then an angel worker girl came to my rescue and asked if she could help me....I told her what I was needing and the area of my foot that I needed more cushion and that I am walking 6 miles this Saturday at the Walk for Babies, March of Dimes and she knew just the style and brand to show me. She had me try the "Saucony" which I had never heard of. She said a lot of joggers love these and she only wears this brand and just walked the Avon walk in Chicago recently and they were great. I tried them on and she was right. They are very comfy and have the breath ability so your feet don't sweat. I tried on a few other brands in the same style and they didn't compare to these. I was almost afraid to ask the cost, but they were on sale and were a lot cheaper than the other famous brands. SOLD! She did tell me to wear them a few days before I do the walk to break them in. So, I am set to go....

Awesome! I love how God works even in the "little" things!
I have 2 pairs of Sauconys and love them...feel like you are walking on pillows! Enjoy!!
Thanks for the tip, Rhonda. I agree. Shopping for walking shoes is a daunting task and you were so lucky to find an angel to help you. And best of all, you were kind enough to share your gift with us.
THOSE ARE THE SHOES I HAVE! I love them! Now make sure you have the perfect socks. Yes, socks. Get the ones that wick the moisture out of them so your feet stay dry, and make sure they don't ride down your ankle and heel. I always get socks that ride up around my ankle a little. My socks are even a teeny bit cushiony to give me extra comfort. I can't tell you how important the right socks are. When I was talking to Keith after the Boston Marathon, he told me that he had to stop to adjust his socks during the race because they were bunching and they were killing his feet. He is out today looking for perfect socks... and you have to practice in them, too... so start with the least expensive ones. I tried 3 styles before I fell in love with mine and fortunately they aren't expensive. I have a friends who spends $20.00 on each pair of socks. Yikes. But she needs them... and they last a long time. Good luck with your Sauconys!
I've never tried that brand of shoe before. I need running shoes, and stick with my New Balance. Have fun this weekend! I hope the weather is nice.
I am going to look for a pair today...I so need a new pair...have been walking 4 miles 4 days a week and was just thinking new shoes were NEEDED
I love Sauconys and they last forever. I think you made a great choice :)
