Happy 1st Birthday Abby

My grand-daughter, Abigail is "1" today. Here she is with her mommy & daddy (my son) taken today at my sister's house in Louisiana. They went for a visit and are flying home tonight. I can't wait to see her. She really got attached to my sister, who is in mourning right now, missing them. Abby has brought so much Joy to our family. I was able to be at her birth to experience the miracle. I can remember the excitement my son felt and looking over his shoulder as he cut the cord. She has such a sweet spirit, just like her mommy. We celebrated her Birthday March 2 with the family.
Happy First Birthday Princess Abigail....Mimi Loves you! XXOO

Clicker's needed

Crooked eyebrow is in need of clicker's to keep her on top today. Go to Top Momma and just click on her picture to keep her on top. She is the one with the square on her forehead and finger on her cheek. She would love your click or lots of clicks. She is a very special lady and one of my favorite blogger buddies....

The Biggest Loser Couples week 10

10 weeks into this and still playing the game.......There were many temptations this week AGAIN...but I tried to be good about my food choices. I did have another birthday party to go to and did have yummy chocolate cake and ice cream.....Was it worth it? YES....I can't live my life depriving myself. I didn't eat the large sugared flower on top. I discovered some yummy 100 calorie Nutter Butter, Oreo & Chips Ahoy granola bars that make you feel like you are eating a candy bar. On the show, they are no longer playing as couples or teams anymore, they are competing as individuals. Our rules will remain as couples. We are supporting one another as sisters and partners. We will be winners together, no matter what.
I did do my last chance workout last night while watching the Biggest Loser on t.v. and burned 308 calories, walking for 30 min. on the treadmill. I didn't have a snack after the walk, even though I could have. I filled up on water instead. I figured, why would I put calories back in after working so hard to burn it off?
Here goes the weigh in......
Drum roll please.........
I lost 1 lb. My sister, Diane lost 0. She maintained, which is better than a gain. So, guess who is the Biggest Loser this week? I am.....Hooray
That brings our totals to 15 lbs. for me and 16.6 lbs. for Diane. I am catching up with you sis. I would love to lose another 15 lbs. by Memorial Day.
Here we are exactly 1 year ago. I like my red hair much better. Me on the left, Diane on the right.

Mimi's Gym

Ask and ye shall receive.....I have been wanting a used treadmill cause the new ones can be very pricy and I didn't want anything too complicated. In talking to a family member, they wanted to get rid of this treadmill cause she didn't use it, so she sold it at a very affordable price. I am so excited to get this and I Thank God that he answered my prayer. It is really what I wanted. So, now I have no excuses to not exercise. I have my own gym now. Let the toning begin!

Lego Mania at Mimi's

Friday night the boys came over while Steph & Jeff went out to a fancy dinner event. It was Lego Mania at my house. These boys are Star wars/Lego fans big time. They named each of their people Star wars characters. It amazed me that 3 little boys can keep themselves amused with these little colorful plastic pieces for 3 hours. Thanks to my son Nate, when he moved out of the house, he left all his toys from the past. He said if he ever has a son, he will take them. Noah and Carter are posing with their pretend Star wars people. I think one of them is named "Anacon"(sp.?) , who I thought was a girl, but they quickly corrected me that he was a guy.

Here is Mr. Gray building a tower with the legos. He wanted me to sit and play with him. I would build them and he would take apart, then ask me to re-build.
The dining room table never looked so used. Whatever makes my 3 little grand-son's happy and doesn't hurt them, is what it is all about. And to think, this is not all of the Lego's!
And, after a rough night of Lego playing, it was time for a treat and guess what they ate as a snack besides the popcicles? Lego fruit snacks....I found at the store. I sent the rest of the box home with them and Steph said that Gray wanted to sleep with the box. They wanted to watch Star wars on t.v. while having their snack. .....Next year, the empty chair will be filled....with another little boy? or a little girl? Mimi had a fun night, as always!

The Biggest Loser Couples week 9

Week 9 and still going strong. My new best friend is the chicken,
spinich/mushroom Panini by Lean Quisine. I can actually eat them everyday and still not get sick of them. I also love the weight control banana bread oatmeal. I find something that I like and eat it until I burn out on it. But that is what works for me. I do get in some fresh steamed veggies now and then and let's not forget the fruit & boston cream pie yogurt & weight watcher's ice cream....YUM. My grand-daughter's birthday party was Sunday. I had a small slice of cake since my lovely daughter-in-law baked it and it was a celebration, but I said No to the scoop of ice cream. I was so proud of myself for not snacking on the chips and other munchies and dips. Having 4 grandkids to chase after and play with kept my mind off the food....Thanks kids!
Now to the weigh in.....Drum Roll.......
I lost .4 oz. My sister, Diane lost 1 lb. I guess every ounce counts. Way to go Diane...you are the biggest loser this week. Watch out, cause I am stepping up my game this week.
That brings our totals to 14 lbs for me and 16.6 lbs for Diane. I am buying that treadmill this week for sure......I can't let my big sis beat me.....although it is really not about competetion for me. I want us both to be healthy together. Thanks sis for being here for me and keeping me motivated..... It won't be long until we are back to our girly figures like in this picture taken in the 1980's. We were babes! Diane on the left, me on the right.

Princess Abigail's 1st Birthday Party

My little grand-daughter, Abby will be "1" on March 13. Her Birthday party was today because she and her parents are flying to see my sister, Diane in Louisiana next week. Her party theme was "Princess", which she is. I can't believe it has already been a year. Her mommy designed a Castle birthday cake. She got lots of girly presents. She didn't like the chocolate frosting on her fingers and would not eat the cupcake.......she was full from cookies that her grampa snuck her before her cake. She took 3 steps to her aunt Kari. It was a fun party.

The Biggest Loser Couples Week 8

We are at week 8 and this has been a better week for me. I have not had my mind on food and have stayed active and a more positive attitude. I try to start my day off with a daily scripture reading and it helps to keep me focused. I hope it shows on the scales.
Here goes.....
Drum roll please......
My weight loss this week is 4 lbs............My sister, Diane lost 1.6 lbs. That makes me the biggest loser this week......Hooray......but I am so proud of my sister for being consistant in losing. I lost the 2 lbs I gained last week, which really makes me happy.
This brings our totals to 13.8 for me and 15.6 for Diane.
I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders. Psalm 9:1
This is last year in Florida....Diane & I. Diane has always been my angel on my shoulder and this picture proves it. Isn't she precious? Love my big sis!

My 150th post, would be an ideal weight?

I finally made it to my 150th post. I started this Blogging Gig with my co-worker & friend, Amy.

We wanted to explore this Blog world and have enjoyed it so much, blogging on our lunch hour......We are some of the older bloggers but it doesn't matter cause we enjoy reading what everyone has to say. I plan on sticking with this Gig. I've been inspired by reading comments left on my blog and I hope to inspire others too. Thanks for letting me into your world and you are always welcome in mine......

The Biggest Loser Couples Week 7

Week 7 weigh in time....This is the most dreadful weigh in for me cause I haven't been as strict as I was in the beginning. I am not going to beat myself up though cause I have made a lot of changes for the good in my food choices and portion sizes. There are always going to be excuses of why I didn't lose this week, like birthday party & eating out 2 times, (onion rings, french fries, Baskin Robbins Birthday cake).

Here goes the weigh in....
Drum Roll Please.......

I gained 2lbs......My sister lost 1.2 lbs. Yay for Diane, she is AGAIN the Biggest Loser. I admire her dedication and walking on her treadmill faithfully. I need her here for me to crack the whip.
That puts our totals at...Me, 9.8 and Diane 14. I hope I did my math right. Well, I guess all I have to say is, I will give it my best shot again this week. I need all of your prayers. Congrats to Diane....Way to go!

This is my sister, Diane and I last year on our sister vacation in Florida. I wish I were there right now...

Noah's Birthday Party

Noah's 7th Birthday party was today. We took him out to eat at Red Robin, one of his favorite places. They sang Happy Birthday to him and gave him a chocolate Sundae. Then we went back to his house for his Birthday Party. I baked his favorite cake. Chocolate Cake with Chocolate icing. He also had an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. Uncle Nate designed the legos on top of the cake. Noah had a very fun party and got lots of star wars legos and lots of clothes and other neat stuff.

Happy 7th Birthday Noah

Today is Noah's 7th Birthday.
He is such a Blessing and an Angelic child. He always has a smile on his face.
I love this little man so much and wish him the best Birthday. He was my first born Grandson. I can remember the minute he was born. His dad came running out of the delivery room announcing that he has a ball player. I was pacing back and forth not far, down the hall. The Joy I felt is unexplainable. I Thank God for healing Noah. He will be able to Eat Chocolate Cake and that makes me happy.....

Happy Birthday My Handsome Noah.....Mimi Loves you!

New Hair-do Reveal

Alright Blogger Buddies, here is my new do. It is really nothing like I thought I would end up getting. I was planning to go much shorter, like the pictures I posted, but I really wanted to stick to the BoB, but short. I like to tuck my hair behind my ears. I did have her do my color and I love it so much better than when I color it myself. I will experiment and try a flippy style and post next time.
I do need the right kind of hair product though to make it look messier. She told me to get some spritz by Paul Mitchell or Biolage. Thanks to my photographer Amy, she captured some great shots....I am glad our boss didn't walk by during our photo shoot....especially on that last shot.

Abby's Valentine Brownies

Abby stopped by to give Grampa and me a special Valentine. She helped her mommy bake heart shaped brownies. They were delicious! Shh...don't tell my biggest loser trainer, Diane. I can't believe she will be 1 next month. Look at her adorable pig tails.

Happy Valentine's Day

I hope everyone is having a Happy Valentine's Day. These are the roses I received via an email......
My co-worker Amy got the Real Roses from her sweetheart.....
I am overdosing on conversation hearts at my desk....

The Biggest Loser Couples week 6

Here we go with week 6 of our production of The Biggest Loser Sister Style. Is it getting harder or easier you ask? Well, for me it's the exercising part that I have a problem with. By the time I get home from work and eat dinner, I am ready for bed, especially with this cold weather we've been having, it just makes you want to put on your warm flannel p.j.'s and crawl into a warm cozy bed instead of sitting on the stationary bike. By the way, my exercise equipment is at the foot of my bed. I say good morning to it when I wake up in the mornings and goodnight to it before I go to sleep. It has been looking so lonely lately and needs a good dusting......I need to get re-aquainted with it this week. I know, you are thinking, excuses excuses....Jillian would be screaming at me to get back on that bike!

Here goes the weigh-in......
Drum Roll Please................
I lost 0.3 oz's........My sister, Diane lost 1 lb. Way to go Sis....that makes you the Biggest Loser this week. Our totals since starting are....11.8 for me, and 12.8 for Diane......Watch out Diane, this next week is mine girl! Just kidding...NOT....I will catch up, you watch me.
My sister is on the treadmill at our sister vacation in Florida last summer.....As you can see by my picture, on the beach, I hate exercising!

Happy 77th Birthday Dad

Today is my dad's 77th Birthday. My dad is one of a kind. He never meets a stranger. He is the best joke teller.....and loves to tell stories of his past. I guess I am what you can say, a daddy's girl. He calls me his Baby Doll!

We had a family party Saturday night and he really enjoyed it. He had been wanting a blue tooth and a cell phone up-grade. So, I stopped by his house on Saturday morning and took his cell phone off of his computer desk and put it in my coat pocket to surprise him with a new phone. I went to the phone store and did the up-grade cause he is on my plan with my husband and I as a family share plan. I also got a blue tooth for him, it was also from my sister and mom. Well, when I went over to help set up for the party later that afternoon, he was all upset and told me he had bad news.....he lost his cell phone. He said he tore apart his vehicle looking for it and all around the house. I had made the mistake of wrapping his old phone in the same box as his new phone, otherwise, I could have slipped it back where it was and all would have been good until present opening time.
I gave in because I didn't want him fretting over it during dinner. I let him open it before the party and the look on his face was priceless. He said "oh that is just what I wanted". I guess I pulled one over on him. If you know my dad, you would agree that he didn't need to go pick out his own phone....He is a talker and he would have ended up with a complicated phone. The one we got him is perfect for him...it does everything he needs to do. After dinner, my son-in-law Jeff, gave him a lesson on how to use the blue tooth. Jeff is so patient and explained everything so perfectly. It was so funny, during the teaching, my dad's cell phone rang with the blue tooth in his ear and it was my sister from Louisiana calling, so he got to practice. He was amazed at how he didn't have to hold his cell phone. He was shouting though, like she couldn't hear him...we had to tell him not to talk so loud....it was funny.
Since my dad is a newly diagnosed diabetic, I found him a sugar free coconut cream pie (his favorite) as his cake. We had other desserts for others. It was a fun night of family.
Abby crawled around hugging on Noah, Carter & Gray. It was precious to see all 4 of my grand-children in one place having a good time playing.

Happy Birthday Dad....I love you.
