The boys spent part of the day at Mimi and Grampa's on Saturday. We made a home-made sandbox for the large bucket of Florida sand I brought back from my vacation to Sandestin Beach last month. I spread out a blanket on the front porch, since the grass was wet from all our rain and let the boys have at it. Gray was facinated by the feel of the sand and he had a ball scooping and digging for the sea shells I hid in the sand. Noah had more fun helping make the sandbox. Carter got bored right away and decided to just ride in the big red car.
I forgot to tell you that Gray ended up going to sleep right after we got home and I woke up in the night feeling like I slept on the beach. Our bed was FULL of sand!!
What a great idea to make a sandbox and hide sea shells! Gray looks like he is fascinated. I'll bet Noah was really good at helping you put it all together.
That bucket & shovel look so familiar! LOL I'm glad the boys got to play in the sand! I remember those days so well with Corbin & Madigan! Precious Memories . . . how they linger! Luv, Diane
OOPS! Sorry Steph...You know it's a free for all at my house...sand and all. I did think about giving him a bath after he was done, but he didn't stop long enough. Yes, Noah had a blast helping me make the sandbox. He LOVES tape and we used lots of Grampa's masking tape to hide the holes in the box. Noah found a shell that he could hear the ocean in the sand and was so excited...I found that beach set of toys with a wheelbarrow at Target for 75% off, so it was a very cheap way to have fun!
